FIRE EVACUATION PROCEDURE
This document is in place to protect all individuals present in all We Got Next Basketball League games. With the venue being a school and games being played on a Sunday, there are no planned fire drill tests taking place by the school or the WGNBL. Therefore, if you hear or see a fire ensure to follow instructions detailed in this document.
If you discover a fire:
- Immediately sound the alarm by operating the nearest fire alarm call point.
- Do not try to fight or put the fire.
- Vacate the premises using the nearest fire exit (Image).
- Report to fire assembly point (Image).
If you hear an alarm:
- Leave the building immediately using the nearest fire exit and as safely and calmly as possible.
- Do not stop to collect personal belongings.
- Close all doors as you leave.
- Proceed to the assembly point marked (Image)
- Ensure the fire brigade has been called.
- Do not re-enter the building until authorized to do so by a member of the committee present.
Due to this being a public event spectators are welcome. Please be aware that fire register and head count will only be performed for players and members of the league as there is no way for the league to track who will be present. Therefore, we urge all spectators to take duty of care and follow the process detailed above.
