FIRE EVACUATION PROCEDURE
This document outlines the safety protocols designed to protect all participants during We Got Next Basketball League games. Given that the venue is a school and games are held on Sundays, neither the school nor the WGNBL will be conducting scheduled fire drills. Consequently, in the event of a fire alarm or visible fire, it is imperative to adhere to the instructions provided herein.
If you discover a fire:
- Immediately sound the alarm by operating the nearest fire alarm call point.
- Do not try to fight or extinguish the fire.
- Vacate the premises using the nearest fire exit (Image).
- Report to fire assembly point (Image).
If you hear an alarm:
- Leave the building immediately using the nearest fire exit and as safely and calmly as possible.
- Do not stop to collect personal belongings.
- Close all doors as you leave.
- Proceed to the assembly point marked (Image)
- Ensure the fire brigade has been called.
- Do not re-enter the building until authorized to do so by a member of the committee present.
(The designated meeting point is located outside the football pitches)
As this is a public event, spectators are cordially invited to attend. Please note that fire registration and headcounts will be conducted exclusively for players and league members, as the league lacks the capacity to track general attendance. Consequently, we strongly advise all spectators to exercise due diligence and adhere to the aforementioned procedures and please ensure that children are continuously supervised.
